1. Course Registration
Student Resources opens the internship courses for registration on the Information System / Students and makes registration announcements to students. The students get enrolled in internship courses over the Information System / Students at course registration time in the spring term or add drop period in the spring term for the summer term. Double major students who will do the Joint Internship must register for the internship courses of both diploma programs in the relevant semester. Students who will do two separate internships can enroll in the internship courses of their diploma programs in the same semester or in different semester. Being able to do two separate internships in the same semester possible with the approval of both Internship Advisors on the Internship Online Management System.
The summer internship requirements of students registered to a Double Major Program may be fulfilled with a single internship course provided that the course is designed as an amalgamation of the requirements for each of the Major Program and Double Major Program internships. Students who successfully complete their joint internship earn ECTS credits for both internship courses.
Internship may begin at the earliest after the finals shown in the academic schedule, and must be completed by the beginning of the next academic term.
Public holidays do not count towards internship period.
Students cannot do internship on the days of their course or exam. The number of weekly internship days cannot be less than 3 days.
2. Internship Application and Result Assessment
Students registered in a Double Major Program contact possible internship institutions within and outside Turkey to submit their applications.
Students registered in a Double Major Program and accepted by an internship institution will submit a "New Internship Project Form" on the Internship Online Management System which will describe a common project that includes the requirements for both the Major and Double Major programs. The project description will be automatically emailed to both Internship Advisors who will assess and approve the internship.
Internship Advisors approve or reject the project based on the submission. The result is automatically emailed to the student's account.
Students who will do a joint internship must get the approval of both Internship Advisors from the two degree programs they are enrolled in. Students whose projects are approved by the internship advisors of both programs can start their joint internship. If a student’s project is rejected, he/she must find another project, write the project definition in the Internship Application Form again and wait for approval from the two Internship Advisors.
If required by the internship institution, the Internship Office will issue a Compulsory Internship Document to the student for submission to the internship institution.
The University pays for the Work Accident and Occupational Disease insurance of students during their compulsory internships within Turkey.
3. At the End of Internship
Students submit the documents required by the internship institution to complete their internships within the following time frames:
Double Major Program Internship Duration
FENS–FENS= 40 business days
FENS–FASS or SBS= 40 business days
SBS-FASS= 20 business days
Holidays are not counted towards your internship.
The Internship Office sends an electronic Student Evaluation Form to the internship institution (with company code and password) and asks for an assessment of the student's performance during internship. When completed by the host institution, this form will be automatically uploaded to the Internship Online Management System.
4. Internship Final Report Format
Students issue their internship reports according to the format requirements of the institution with the longer internship duration.

FENS–FENS = Digest Rapor, Final Rapor, Poster
FENS–FASS or SBS= Digest Rapor, Final Rapor, Poster
SBS -FASS= Final Rapor
